In over 40 years of public service, Carolyn Maloney has been known as a pioneer and a reformer. Carolyn started her career as a teacher and an administrator for the New York City Board of Education. From there, she won a highly contested seat on the New York City Council. In her ten years on the Council, Maloney fought for reform and was the principal author of the landmark New York City Campaign Finance Act.
In Congress, Maloney continues to fight for meaningful campaign finance reform so that all New Yorkers, not just Big Money special interests, get the representation they deserve.
