Dana Balter is a lifetime educator and community advocate. Dana began her career in special education, working at a nonprofit providing support services to adults with cognitive disabilities. Dana served in many roles, as a teacher, Director of Education, and finally Director of Marketing and Communications at the organization. Today Dana serves as a visiting Assistant Teaching Professor at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University, teaching courses in citizenship, policy, administration, and democracy.
Dana knows that Washington is rigged to favor the interests of mega-donors and corporations. By rejecting corporate PAC money, Dana is proving to voters that her priority in Congress will be New York families, not corporate special interests.
