Jamie’s record as a campaign finance reform fighter go back to his time as a Maryland state senator. In Maryland, he introduced legislation that would require independent spending in Maryland state races to be disclosed and also organized the Maryland General Assembly to tell Congress to pass an amendment overturning the dangerous Citizens United decision. Since being in Congress, Jamie has supported various initiatives from fellow members of Congress that fight the influence of Big Money in politics.
