Norma is from California’s 35th district. Norma brought to Congress a long record of public service, previously serving as a state senator, a state assembly member, a Pomona City Council Member, and as mayor of Pomona. A long-time consumer protection advocate, Norma passed a law requiring health insurance companies to be more transparent about prescription drug coverage and a Homeowner’s Bill of Rights while she was still a state senator. Norma has continued her work protecting consumers in Congress.
