Retired Major Richard Ojeda II is a West Virginian veteran, educator, and current West Virginia state Senator. Major Ojeda has served the United States across the globe and at home, establishing the Logan Empowerment Action and Development Community Organization (LEAD), and serving as an educator of JROTC at Chapmanville High School. His strong sense of duty recently led him help coordinate the statewide West Virginia teachers strike, resulting in Governor James Justice signing a bill to give teachers and state employees a 5% pay increase.
Major Ojeda knows that when special interests control politics, working people get the short end of the stick. That’s why he’s fighting to fix a rigged system and rejects money from big corporations. West Virginians deserve a principled leader to weed out corruption in Washington D.C.
