Rick’s whole life has been dedicated to service and advocacy. He’s been an international aid worker in some of the most vulnerable places around the world. He joined the Peace Corps after college, working in Morocco for five years as a teacher and a health educator. After earning a master’s degree in public health, he continued his international work, going wherever the need was greatest. He ran local non-profits, made sure people had access to clean water, launched a hospital reconstruction project, and set up refugee camps.
Rick learned valuable lessons during his many years spent in the field. But the most important lesson was to not be afraid to stand up and take action when called, no matter the obstacles. Now, Rick is driven to confront new threats, and to stand up for what’s right. He’s not beholden to mega-donors or special interests, and once elected to office, Rick will fight to reform the rigged system that’s leaving Ohio families behind.
