Sharice Davids is a proud Kansan who decided to run for office after completing a year as a White House Fellow in Washington during the Obama-Trump transition. Before the prestigious fellowship, she earned a law degree from Cornell. A member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, a Native American tribe in Wisconsin, Sharice regularly speaks at conferences as a nationally recognized expert on economic and community development in Native communities.
Sharice knows that the current campaign finance system is broken, allowing mega donors to be held above everyday Kansans. She believes that people’s voices, and not special interests, are essential to sustaining American democracy. That’s why she’s advocating for meaningful campaign finance reform.
