Susie Lee is a lifelong education advocate who has worked for over twenty years to bring people together to forge innovative solutions and help thousands of Nevadans lead better, safer, and healthier lives. Susie has served as a campaign policy advisor to a Las Vegas mayor and helped to found and direct a homeless shelter for women, families, and single parents. In 1995, she became the founding director of the After-School All-Stars, which provides 5,000 local children with after-school activities and enrichment programs. Since 2010, Susie has led Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS), an organization that serves over 60,000 students across Nevada. As an active community member and advocate, Susie sees that America is most powerful when its government works for its people, not corporations. Susie is ready to represent her fellow citizens in Congress, fighting to make sure that everyday Nevadan’s urgent needs are not lost amid the chorus of Big Wants from Big Money.
