End Citizens United has endorsed Lynn Coleman for Congress. Coleman is running to represent Indiana’s 2nd Congressional district.

End Citizens United (ECU) is a grassroots-funded organization that is dedicated to electing members of Congress who, like Coleman, will fight to overturn Citizens United and to pass campaign finance reform that will remove unlimited, secret money from our political system.

“After nearly 40 years of service to his community, Lynn is running for Congress to give Hoosier families a voice in Washington,” said Tiffany Muller, Executive Director of ECU. “Lynn believes that government should work for everyday American families, not special interest groups and lobbyists. While Lynn is committed to cleaning up our campaign finance system, his opponent has voted for a Koch-backed bill to protect groups that keep their political spending secret – a bill which also opens the door for foreign governments to spend in American elections. ECU looks forward to working with Lynn Coleman to end the corrosive influence of money in politics, and to ensure Washington works for every American.”

“We need to make sure that our elections focus on plans and ideas — not campaign contributions,” said Coleman. “In Congress, I will fight for a campaign finance system that is transparent and fair for all Americans, not just the wealthy. I’m proud to receive End Citizen United’s endorsement, and will work with them to bring more accountability and transparency to our government.”

Information on the candidates endorsed by End Citizens United, including their answers to the ECU questionnaire, can be found here.

End Citizens United, a grassroots funded political action committee (PAC), was established in March 2015 to counter the disastrous effects of Citizens United and reform our campaign finance system. To date, more than 1.5 million grassroots members from every state and territory have taken action to support End Citizens United.
