Mark Pocan

Candidate for Wisconsin's 2nd Congressional District

Mark was sworn in as the U.S. Representative for Wisconsin’s second congressional district in 2013 following fourteen years in the Wisconsin State Assembly. A small business owner, union member and lifelong advocate for progressive causes, Mark is committed to using his unique experience from both the private and public sector to fight for policies that promote job growth and support the families of south central Wisconsin. In the 115th Congress, he serves on the House Appropriations Committee where he sits on the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services and Education, and the Subcommittee on Agriculture. Mark knows that the Supreme Court’s misguided Citizens United decision has had a deeply destructive effect on our democracy. In 2014, he called for “immediate action,” noting that without it, “the voice of every American will be silenced by the roar of corporate money.”
