Tina Smith

Candidate for U.S. Senate

Tina Smith currently serves as U.S. Senator for Minnesota, where she advocates for the interests of her constituents. Tina represents Minnesota as a member of the Senate Committees on Energy and Resources, Health Education Labor and Pensions, Agriculture Nutrition and Forestry, and Indian Affairs. Prior to her election, Tina served as Minnesota’s 48th Lieutenant Governor. In her role as Lieutenant Governor, Tina traveled to every corner of the state to talk with, learn from, and work on behalf of Minnesotans.

Tina understands how disastrous the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision has been for our democracy and the flood of special interest money it unlocked. As Senator, Tina continues to fight for meaningful campaign finance reform to ensure voter’s voices are represented in our democracy.
