A leader for Illinois’ Third District
Marie Newman grew up in a family of U.S. Army and Marine veterans. After becoming a partner in one of the country’s largest ad agencies and starting her own consulting business, she founded the non-profit “Team Up To Stop Bullying” after one of her own children was severely bullied in school. Newman has been a long time state and national advocate for health care rights, income equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and common-sense gun safety. Now, she’s running to take the fight to Washington and to be a voice for the Third District.
A strong ally in Congress
Newman will never take a dime of corporate PAC money, because she knows that Big Money has stood in the way of expanding access to healthcare, lowering prescription drug costs, and protecting our environment. Throughout her campaign, she has spoken out on the importance of adopting a small-dollar fundraising model for all federal campaigns. In Congress, she’ll stand up to special interests and will be a consistent leader in fixing our rigged system.
