End Citizens United backed Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s (D-16) challenge to Sen. Ted Cruz (R).

“Our decision to endorse Beto was an easy one,” said Tiffany Muller, the PAC’s president and executive director, in a written statement. “He stands as a progressive champion and the future of our party with a determined focus to give the people a voice in our democracy. He’s running against the worst of Washington in Senator Ted Cruz who has sold out Texans for the special interests at every opportunity.” (Dallas Morning News)

TALKING IT OUT. President Trump called Sen. Ted Cruz (R), who came out against the Senate health care bill, to speak about the legislation. “The phone conversation between Cruz and Trump was described by the White House officials and Trump ally as substantive and encouraging. It was about hearing each side out and getting a better sense of where things stand, they said.” (Washington Post)
