“This is a big win for democracy. Ohio voters delivered a loud and clear rebuke to extremist Republicans and their special interest donors.
“The initiative only reached the ballot box through the millions spent by far-right billionaire Richard Uihlein. It was a thinly-veiled attempt by radical Republicans––like Secretary of State Frank LaRose, Matt Dolan, and Bernie Moreno––to further exert control over Ohio families and ultimately prevent women from making their own choices over their bodies.
“While we celebrate the results of this election, we remain vigilant. The dark-money backed GOP will not relent until they strip us of our rights and freedoms. We will continue fighting extremism to strengthen our democracy and protect reproductive rights for all.”
