(PennLive.com) – A major political-action committee dedicated to campaign finance reform has launched a $2 million ad campaign targeting Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz. End Citizens United’s ad Fuggedaboutit” calls out Oz for his New Jersey connections and paints him as an out-of-touch elitist, two themes that the campaign of Senate Democratic candidate John Fetterman, Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor, has also been pushing…Besides those criticisms, the ad also highlights Oz’s relationship with the pharmaceutical industry. “Mehmet Oz is as New Jersey as listening to Bruce Springsteen while driving on the parkway to go down the shore. That’s exactly why he’s out-of-touch with hardworking Pennsylvanians,” End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller said in a statement. “He’s only looking out for himself.” The ad will run on broadcast and cable channels, and be streamed, through Aug. 13 in the Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh markets.
