Complaint alleges congressional candidate paid for parking space with campaign funds

(Times Union) The complaint, filed with the Federal Elections Commission Monday morning by End Citizens United, alleges her campaign made three payments to Icon Parking, which operates parking garages in New York City.

The complaint cites part of a May 8 report from Politico’s New York Playbook that states the payments were for parking near the candidate’s Manhattan apartment. The report states the payments appear to run afoul of prohibitions against using campaign money for personal purposes.
