(The Detroit News) Kristina Karamo, the Republican nominee to be Michigan’s next secretary of state, once alleged on her podcast that participants in the 2017 Women’s March protests were “addicted to porn.” Karamo made the comments during a 2020 episode of her podcast “It’s Solid Food.” In the episode, Karamo cited statistics from the pornography website Pornhub that said “female traffic across the United States” dropped by 8.2% at one point during the day of the Women’s March when compared to the average Saturday. “Think about that … Because these ladies are addicted to porn,” Karamo said….In response to the comments, Arik Wolk, spokesman for End Citizens United, a national political group that is backing Benson’s reelection, said Karamo is “an extremist threat to our democracy who is too obsessed with her bizarre conspiracies to do the job of secretary of state.”
