(Hudson Valley 360) – Our Democracy is drowning. In 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court’s Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission decision opened the floodgates to dark money in our politics. Since then, our Democracy has been weakened as shadowy special interests and corporate political action committees (PACs) pour millions of dollars into campaigns, buying access and influence with politicians and drowning out the voices of working families.
