(Politico) Threats to democracy were a top concern for voters in battleground states, according to post-election focus groups conducted by Impact Research for End Citizens United in Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Participants defined threats to democracy in different ways, including “the dominance and influence of big money in politics, the systemic corruption in Washington, and politicians stoking political divisions and embracing extremism,” according to a memo first shared with Score. “It’s clear from the resounding defeat of election deniers, along with our post-election research, that democracy is a salient issue in our elections,” ECU spokesperson Arik Wolk said in a statement.
