(The Detroit News) In the most expensive U.S. House race in the country, Republicans are trying to take out two-term Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin, who they think is vulnerable as President Joe Biden remains deeply unpopular on the economy….Outside groups that are spending in the 7th include former Vice President Mike Pence’s advocacy group and the Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity Action, which paid for pro-Barrett canvassing and literature. The liberal group End Citizens United booked airtime for pro-Slotkin radio spots in the Flint and Detroit markets. VoteVets, a veterans organization supporting Slotkin, is on the air this week in Detroit.
