(Medium) These efforts to sabotage the voting process are simply downstream from former President Trump’s continued attacks on the integrity of President Biden’s victory. Election deniers have taken over the Republican party. Now, imagine what people like this could do if they were elected to positions that oversaw the administration of an entire state’s elections. That’s exactly what could happen if a slate of election conspiracy theorists running for Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General win their races next week. End Citizens United / Let America Vote released a new report looking at the broad powers these officials have in states that could decide the 2024 presidential race and how candidates who continue to lie about the voting process could sabotage and subvert the next election.
