With just one month to go until Election Day, we’re highlighting some of the biggest Republican scandals from this election cycle.
Matt DePerno wants to be Michigan’s top lawyer, but has a history of clashing with the law over and over again.Â
He’s the subject of multiple investigations by the state of Michigan and even his own bank. As recently as last month, DePerno was under request for criminal investigation for tampering with voting machines in multiple jurisdictions. When the initial probe began, DePerno was regarded as “one of the prime instigators of the conspiracy.” He’s also been fired from his law firm and is at risk for losing his law license.
Come November, we hope DePerno realizes that breaking the law is not a path to being Michigan’s top cop, which is why we’re dedicating The Clash’s hit song “I Fought the Law” to him as a reminder.
