The Supreme Court decision today overturning Roe v. Wade takes away the right to privacy and Americans’ freedom to make their own decision on whether to have an abortion. Adam Laxalt wants to make abortion illegal in Nevada without exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother, criminalize doctors for providing safe medical services, and punish Nevadans for having abortions.
Adam Laxalt has dedicated his career to undercutting reproductive freedom. Laxalt has previously called the Court’s draft decision a “historic victory.” As Nevada’s attorney general, Laxalt signed onto multiple legal efforts to roll back abortion access.
