“As Texans tune into tonight’s debate, the choice could not be clearer. Senator Cruz represents everything that’s wrong with the Senate. He consistently prioritizes himself and his special interest donors over the needs of working families. Whether it’s his work around banning abortion or weakening anti-corruption laws, Cruz has turned his back on Texans and is wildly out-of-touch with their needs.
“Texas families deserve a leader like Congressman Allred––someone who always puts people ahead of politics and fights for working families. Unlike Cruz, Congressman Allred refuses to take corporate PAC money and stands up to powerful special interests. He’ll bring integrity and accountability back to the Senate and protect the rights and opportunities of all Texans––regardless of their political affiliation. Tonight’s debate will show the contrast between a politician who puts his own ambitions above everything else and a true public servant.
