End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement ahead of tonight’s debate in the Wisconsin Senate race:
“Tonight, Wisconsinites are going to be reminded how wildly out-of-touch and self-serving Eric Hovde really is. Hovde, a mega millionaire bank owner from California, isn’t focused on hardworking families because he’s busy trying to buy this Senate seat to make himself and his wealthy friends even richer. His affinity for self-dealing, made clear by his refusal to divest from his $3 billion bank, coupled with his pattern of insulting Wisconsinites, proves he is entirely unqualified to serve in the Senate.
“Eric Hovde doesn’t compare to a real leader like Senator Tammy Baldwin. While Hovde puts hardworking families on the backburner, Senator Baldwin has consistently stood up for working families in Wisconsin–not the corporate special interests.
