“Today is a great day for Senator Ron Johnson’s wealthy and corporate donors and his dark money allies who have made millions of dollars off his time in the Senate.
“Senator Johnson represents the worst of Washington, looking out only for himself and his mega donors, instead of the people of Wisconsin. In 2017, he secured a tax handout for himself and his top billionaire supporters including over $118 million for just two donors who spent $8 million dollars to elect him and $97 million for another donor, who spent $12 million to elect him. Meanwhile, Johnson’s net worth has doubled during his time in the Senate. From voting to raise health care costs, to opposing the bipartisan infrastructure plan to create jobs and rebuild the state, Johnson has shown his complete disregard for the working people of Wisconsin.
“The bad news for Senator Johnson: Mandela Barnes is going to win this election. With a proven track record of putting the people of Wisconsin over big money special interests, a concrete plan to protect the freedom to vote, and a campaign that is funded by the American people, not corporations, Lt. Governor Barnes will defeat Ron Johnson this November.”
