Governor Kim Reynolds is forcing Iowans to choose between their health and their right to vote amid a global pandemic.
She recently signed a bill limiting absentee ballot requests in Iowa, suppressing voters in the general 2020 election. Iowa Senate Republicans put forth the bill a week after absentee ballots contributed to a record turnout in the state’s primary election. This isn’t surprising considering that Kim Reynolds is an ardent supporter of President Trump, who has been critical of expanding vote-by-mail in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Always be wary of a politician who is afraid of voters.
