Tom Cotton is the face of the Republican Party’s surrender to Trumpism.
He perfectly combines the corporate sellout wing of the party with Trump’s creeping authoritarianism and outright racism. He’s taken $2.2 million in corporate PAC money. He also called slavery a “necessary evil” and advocated using the military against American citizens.
There are a ton of evils plaguing our democracy. Tom Cotton is up there with the worst of them.
