End Citizens United Action Fund President Tiffany Muller released the following statement in light of the bombshell whistleblower report submitted to the U.S. Office of Special Counsel by Dr. Rick Bright that exposed deep-rooted corruption throughout the Trump Administration’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak:
“In the midst of a pandemic that has upended Americans’ health and economic livelihoods, Dr. Rick Bright’s report reveals that the Trump Administration shamelessly put corporations and mega-donors with ‘political connections’ over public health and interest. Throughout this crisis, President Trump has repeatedly disregarded science and public health. Now, Americans are paying the price. President Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 crisis has been a complete failure because he’s concerned with his own political fortunes and taking care of corporate special interests. We’re left with an even worse outbreak and crashing economy. Since President Trump won’t hold himself accountable, nor will Republicans in Congress, we’ll make sure the American people do in November.”
