End Citizens United (ECU) // Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement on news that the Arizona Democratic Party will file a lawsuit against No Labels:
“No Labels is a corporate-backed dark money group – not a political party. Nothing about this shadowy organization meets the requirements of a political party, including contribution limits, disclosure requirements, or simply even registering with the FEC. Everything about this organization flies in the face of what it means to be a political party.
“The simple fact alone that No Labels doesn’t disclose its donors is disqualifying. Dark money is one of the most corrupting influences in politics and having a dark money organization masquerading as a political party would severely undermine the democratic process.
“We support this lawsuit and other efforts to ensure that No Labels is rightfully barred from the ballot.”
