During Women’s History Month, We Fight for the Future

Mar 01, 2023

End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller released the following statement in celebration of Women’s History Month:

“We honor the resilient women who fought for the rights and freedoms that we enjoy today. They paved the way for women to have a seat at the table, break glass ceilings, and serve in the highest levels of government, including the vice presidency.

“Yet this year represents the first time since the proclamation of Women’s History Month that the constitutional freedom for women to make their own reproductive decisions has been outlawed. That is unacceptable.

“There has always been a long journey toward equality. Women are burdened by pay inequities, are underrepresented as political candidates and elected officials, and they face more barriers accessing the ballot. We recognize that these inequalities are even more pronounced for Black women and women of color.

“During Women’s History Month we remember and honor the legacy of the past, and we must use it to build upon and fight for the future.”
