“Congratulations to Chairman Hakeem Jeffries on his re-election. He has made it his mission to reform the criminal justice system, root out corruption in Congress, and protect voters from right-wing attacks. In Congress, he’s led the fight to protect voting rights, so every American can make their voices heard at the ballot box. It was because of Chairman Jeffries’ leadership that the House passed H.R. 1, the For the People Act, and later the Freedom to Vote Act. He will continue to fight to protect the voice of working families, and we look forward to working with him closely next year.”
