“Congratulations to Kris Mayes on her well-deserved victory in Arizona. We know that as attorney general, Mayes will continue to fight for Arizona families, hold corporations accountable, and ensure that every voice and vote is counted.”
ECU endorsed Kris Mayes because of the work she’s done representing Arizonans and fighting back against greedy corporations. Mayes’ endorsement was part of ECU’s first ever Democracy Defenders program for candidates who will be important allies in the fight against dark money and for protecting the freedom to vote. As the campaign picked up this fall, ECU commissioned a poll to show how close Arizona’s attorney general race was. As part of the Vote for Democracy tour with Senator Amy Klobuchar, ECU President Tiffany Muller campaigned in Arizona for Mayes. In the final weeks of the election, ECU ran a $200,000 mail program highlighting Abe Hamadeh’s extremism.
