ECU // LAV Launches $900,000 in Additional Ads in New Hampshire Thanking Senator Hassan for Supporting the Freedom to Vote Act

Oct 05, 2021

End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund launched $900,000 in additional campaign ads in New Hampshire today thanking Senator Maggie Hassan for supporting a compromise voting rights and anti-corruption bill–the Freedom to Vote Act. This bill protects the freedom to vote for all Americans, secures the ballot box, stops partisan gerrymandering, and ends dark money so that billionaires can’t buy elections. It also protects against efforts to sabotage our elections, including protecting election officials from harassment and preventing voter intimidation.

The $900,000 in New Hampshire ads are part of a $5.8 million campaign alongside ads in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, West Virginia, and nationally that will air on local broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. The ad campaign in New Hampshire also includes digital ads on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Google. The ads are part of ECU // LAV’s joint $30 million campaign with the National Democratic Redistricting Committee to pass a federal voting rights and anti-corruption bill.

“Voters in both parties believe we should protect the freedom to vote, end dark money, stop partisan gerrymandering, and protect our elections from sabotage so that the people choose their elected officials, not the other around,” said End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller. “We applaud Senator Hassan for supporting this common-sense compromise that will restore faith in our elections and urge the Senate to do whatever it takes to pass his bill as quickly as possible.”

Full Script of “Our Country”:

This is our country.

We built it,

Protected it,

Defended it.

And our Senator knows it.

That’s why Maggie Hassan is working to put us back in charge.

The Freedom to Vote Act secures our elections,

Puts families ahead of special interests,

And ends dark money,

So we decide elections, not the billionaires who want to buy them.

Because Senator Hassan knows,

We deserve the freedom to vote.
