“The recent surge in attacks and racist sentiments against the Asian American and Pacific Islander community has been abhorrent. This violence and bigotry goes against the very core of what it means to be American. We welcome this bill, which passed with overwhelming bipartisan support, to develop proposals and solutions so that justice officials have the resources to detect, prevent, and prosecute these hate crimes.”
