End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller released the following statement reacting to Majority Leader Schumer’s announcement that ECA reform will be included in the omnibus package:
“Reforming the Electoral Count Act is an important first step in protecting our democracy and our freedom to vote. It will ensure the will of the people is upheld, and we applaud Leader Schumer for working hard to include it in the omnibus spending package.
“Congress should also pass additional measures to take on the many threats to our democracy that this bill does not address, including an increasing number of voting restrictions and a surge in dark money. Every American should have access to the ballot, be able to make their voice heard and have their vote counted.”
