“We applaud both the House and Senate for passing these crucial measures to protect our democracy. These reforms to the Electoral Count Act will help ensure the will of the people is upheld and prevent another insurrection.
“While we still need to take other actions to protect our democracy, including ending dark money, protecting the freedom to vote, and stopping partisan gerrymandering, this is an important first step.
“We thank Leader Schumer and Speaker Pelosi for getting these reforms passed, and all of the members who supported it.”
