End Citizens United (ECU) // Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement ahead of the one-year anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision by the Supreme Court which overturned Roe v. Wade:
“One year ago, the Supreme Court made the extreme decision to overrule decades of precedent set by Roe v. Wade, stripping millions of Americans of one of their fundamental rights.
“This devastating decision was the result of a decades-long extremist effort to spend hundreds of millions of dark money dollars to radicalize the judiciary, pack the Supreme Court, and undo almost 50 years of reproductive rights.
“One year later, it is more important than ever to elect leaders who work tirelessly to protect democracy. We also must continue fighting extremism to protect and strengthen democracy by reforming the Court, shining a light on dark money, and restoring reproductive freedoms for all.”
