ECU Releases New $400,000 TV Ad in ME-02

Oct 18, 2022

Ad highlights how Bruce Poliquin is working for his wealthy corporate donors

End Citizens United released a new ad in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District today contrasting Congressman Jared Golden’s record of taking on Big Pharma to lower costs for Mainers with Bruce Poliquin’s history of taking hundreds of thousands from the drug and insurance industry.

“Maine families have no bigger champion in Washington than Jared Golden. He doesn’t take corporate PAC money and fights Big Pharma to lower prescription drug costs and put more money in Mainers’ pockets,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Bruce Poliquin is the epitome of what it means to be bought and paid for by corporate special interests. He has taken $500,000 from Big Pharma and insurance companies, voted to allow the industry to gouge Maine families with high costs, and continues to enjoy their campaign cash. The difference between these candidates’ records on holding Big Pharma accountable is day and night.”

He listens, and Jared Golden gets the hard things done.

Jared Golden fought the big drug companies, and did the impossible: capping annual prescription costs for seniors on Medicare.

Bruce Poliquin opposed the prescription drug cap, even opposed lowering the cost of insulin.

No surprise, Poliquin took half a million dollars in contributions from Big Insurance and Drug industries, and kept drug prices high.

Bruce Poliquin: He’s already sold us out.
