End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on news that the House Ethics Committee launched an investigation in George Santos:
“Today’s announcement by the House Ethics Committee is welcomed news. Santos has shown a blatant disregard for the law and has flagrantly brushed aside the transparency voters deserve from their elected officials. His actions are not only unethical, but illegal, and call into question his ability to serve. When he is found guilty, the House should expel him from office.”
End Citizens United has filed complaints with the Department of Justice, the Office of Congressional Ethics, and the Federal Election Commission calling for investigations into Congressman George Santos.
