End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on Amy Kennedy’s challenge to Congressman Jeff Van Drew in NJ-02:
“Amy Kennedy’s reform-focused campaign is resonating with South Jersey families. Unlike Jeff Van Drew, who switched to the Republican Party which endorses corruption as public policy, Amy has proposed a strong anti-corruption and reform plan, and she refuses corporate PAC money.
“Amy will be an independent voice in Congress and she’ll fight to pass critical reform legislation to make progress on issues like lowering the cost of prescription drugs and making our economy work for everyone. South Jersey families know that Amy Kennedy will fight for them, not corporate special interests.”
ECU and LAV endorsed Amy Kennedy in May 2020 because of her commitment to rooting out corruption in Washington. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 6,200 in NJ-02, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
