End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement congratulating Alyse Galvin on advancing to the general election for Alaska’s At-Large Congressional District:
“Congratulations to Alyse Galvin on her primary victory. Alyse is running a reform-focused campaign by rejecting corporate PAC money and putting forth a comprehensive anti-corruption plan to clean up Washington. Meanwhile, Congressman Don Young has become one of Congress’s most notoriously corrupt members over the course of his 50 year-career, having cashed over $4.3 million from corporate PACs and received a rebuke from the House Ethics Committee in 2014 for failing to report tens of thousands of dollars in gifts. Unlike Young, Alyse Galvin will stand up for Alaskans. We’re proud to stand with Alyse Galvin’s campaign, and we look forward to helping her win.”
ECU and LAV endorsed Alyse Galvin in November 2019 because of her commitment to reform and her Beacon Bright Integrity Agenda, which would crack down on corruption in Washington. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 7,500 in Alaska, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
