Kim rejects corporate PAC money and led the charge to pass the For the People Act, a once-in-a-generation reform bill
End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on Congressman Andy Kim’s win in NJ-03:
“Congratulations to Congressman Andy Kim on tonight’s big win. Andy is a committed public servant who understands that Big Money is the reason behind the inaction on issues important to New Jersey families. He proved once again that a winning campaign is one that is not beholden to corporate special interests and instead focuses on the people in the district. We’re incredibly proud of the work Andy has accomplished so far, and we look forward to his continued leadership in Congress.”
ECU and LAV endorsed Andy Kim in March 2019 because of his commitment to getting Big Money out of politics and fixing the rigged system in Washington. ECU raised and donated over $148,600 in small dollar grassroots contributions from its members this cycle to Kim’s campaign, and ECU hosted two virtual campaign events discussing his commitment to taking on the corruption in Washington and passing reforms to end the influence of Big Money and protect the right to vote. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including nearly 8,000 in NJ-03, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
