End Citizens United and Let America Vote Congratulate Carolyn Bourdeaux on Primary Win in GA-07

Jun 16, 2020

End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement congratulating congressional candidate Carolyn Bordeaux on winning the Democratic primary in GA-07 after new vote counts showed she won with more than 50 percent of the vote:

“Congratulations to Carolyn Bourdeaux. Carolyn understands that the reason there’s no progress on affordable health care or prescription drugs is because of corporate special interests standing in the way. Carolyn rejects corporate PAC money, proving that she will only be accountable to Georgians. In Congress, she will fight to expand and protect voting rights and end the outsized influence of money in politics. We’re proud to stand with Carolyn heading into November, and her big win proves the importance of counting every vote.”

ECU and LAV endorsed Carolyn Bourdeaux in May 2020 and in the 2018 cycle citing her commitment rooting out corruption in Washington. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 4,200 in Georgia’s Seventh Congressional District, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
