End Citizens United and Let America Vote Congratulate Congressman Conor Lamb on General Election Victory in PA-17

Nov 07, 2020

Lamb rejects corporate PAC money and led the charge to pass the For the People Act, a once-in-a-generation reform bill

End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement congratulating Congressman Conor Lamb on winning re-election in Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District:

“Congratulations to Congressman Conor Lamb. Conor was ready to get to work for the people of Pennsylvania when he first stepped foot on Capitol Hill because he rejects corporate PAC money and isn’t beholden to Big Money special interests. In his first term, Conor co-sponsored and led the passage of the For the People Act, the most sweeping anti-corruption, ethics, and voting rights bill in a generation, and also voted to lower the cost of prescription drugs. He’s worked across the aisle to make real progress for Pennsylvanians, and that’s why they re-elected him. We’re proud to support Congressman Conor Lamb and look forward to working with him in his second term.”

ECU and LAV endorsed Conor Lamb for re-election in March 2019 as part of the group’s first round of House incumbent endorsements because of his commitment to unrig the broken system in Washington. ECU raised and donated nearly $69,000 in small dollar grassroots contributions from its members this cycle to Lamb’s campaign. Lamb, who ran on a platform of reform in both 2018 and 2020, rejects corporate PAC money and showed leadership in the passage of the For the People Act (H.R.1). The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 7,200 in PA-17, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
