Crow rejects corporate PAC money and led the charge to pass the For the People Act, a once-in-a-generation reform bill
End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on news that Congressman Jason Crow won re-election in CO-06:
“Congratulations to Congressman Jason Crow. In 2018, Jason was one of the first House candidates in the country to reject corporate PAC money, and in Congress, he delivered on promises to root out corruption. He made passing the For the People Act, the biggest anti-corruption, voting rights and ethics reform bills in a generation his first priority in office. When given the opportunity to stand up against Big Pharma, Jason voted for legislation that would lower the cost of prescription drugs for Coloradans. His thoughtful and diligent approach to public service coupled with his commitment to anti-corruption led to the House leadership picking him to serve as an impeachment manager in the Senate trial of President Trump. Congressman Jason Crow has tirelessly fought for Coloradans’ interests and that’s why they’ve re-elected him to serve a second term. We’re proud to support Congressman Crow and look forward to continuing working alongside him.”
ECU and LAV endorsed Jason Crow for re-election in March 2019 as part of the group’s first round of House incumbent endorsements because of his commitment to unrig the broken system in Washington. ECU raised and donated nearly $52,000 in small dollar grassroots contributions from its members this cycle to Crow’s campaign and hosted two virtual campaign events discussing his commitment to taking on the corruption in Washington and passing reforms to end the influence of Big Money and protect the right to vote. Crow, who ran on a platform of reform in both 2018 and 2020, rejects corporate PAC money and showed leadership in the passage of the For the People Act (H.R.1). The reform group has four million members nationwide, including over 9,200 in CO-06, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
