End Citizens United and Let America Vote Congratulate Congresswoman McBath on General Election Victory

Nov 04, 2020

McBath rejects corporate PAC money and led the charge to pass the For the People Act, a once-in-a-generation reform bill

End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on Congresswoman Lucy McBath’s win in GA-06:

“Congratulations to Congresswoman McBath on a well-deserved win. Lucy proved once again that when people come together to reclaim their democracy, the status quo and their special interest allies, like the NRA, don’t stand a chance. Without taking a dime of corporate PAC money, Lucy is showing that there’s a different way to run a winning campaign. We’re proud to stand with Congresswoman McBath, and we look forward to her continued leadership on rooting out corruption and protecting the right to vote.”

ECU and LAV endorsed Lucy McBath in March 2019 because of her commitment to getting Big Money out of politics and fixing the rigged system in Washington. ECU raised and donated over $151,000 in small dollar grassroots contributions from its members this cycle to McBath’s campaign, and ECU hosted a virtual campaign event discussing her commitment to taking on the corruption in Washington and passing reforms to end the influence of Big Money and protect the right to vote. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including over 7,400 in GA-06, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
