End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement congratulating Jill Schupp on winning the Democratic primary in MO-02:
“Congratulations to Jill Schupp. In the State Senate, Jill introduced legislation to combat the outsized influence of dark money, working to unrig the broken system and make it more accountable to Missouri families. Now, in her run for Congress, she’s running to root out corruption in Washington and she’s not taking a dime of corporate PAC money. Jill knows that progress on critical issues impacting Missourians, like access to healthcare and improving the quality of education, aren’t possible without comprehensive reform. Meanwhile, Representative Ann Wagner has taken $3.6 million from corporate PACs over the course of her career. We’re proud to stand with Jill Schupp’s campaign, and we look forward to helping her win.”
ECU and LAV endorsed Jill Schupp in February 2020 because of her commitment to rooting out corruption in Washington. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 10,100 in MO-02, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
