Kelly rejects corporate PAC money

End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement congratulating Mark Kelly on winning the General Election for Arizona’s Senate seat:

“Congratulations to Mark Kelly on his victory in Arizona. Mark’s campaign rallied Arizonans of all backgrounds to come together and fight for common sense in Washington. Mark won’t take a dime of corporate PAC money because he works for Arizona, not corporate special interests. If we’re going to make progress on the cost of prescription drugs and health care, we need leaders like Mark who aren’t afraid to stand up to Big Money in Washington. We look forward to working with him to pass anti-corruption and voting rights legislation that will make our government work for everyone instead of just the rich and well-connected.”

ECU and LAV endorsed Mark Kelly in April 2019 because of his commitment to getting Big Money out of politics and fixing the rigged system in Washington so the government works for all Americans. ECU raised and donated over $1.2 million in small dollar grassroots contributions from its members this cycle to Kelly’s campaign, and ECU hosted a virtual campaign event discussing his commitment to taking on the corruption in Washington and passing reforms to end the influence of Big Money and protect the right to vote. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including nearly 90,000 in Arizona, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
