A committed reformer, Ilhan helped lead the effort to pass the For the People Act, the most sweeping anti-corruption, voting rights and ethics reform bill in a generation. Corruption is the status quo in Washington, but Ilhan has stood up to corporate special interests from the moment she stepped foot on Capitol Hill. She’s rejecting corporate PAC money and putting the needs of Minnesotans first to make progress on critical issues, like providing quality healthcare. We’re proud to stand with Congresswoman Omar heading into the general election.”
ECU and LAV endorsed Ilhan Omar in June 2019 because of her commitment to rooting out corruption in Washington. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 13,700 in MN-05, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
